Each class will cover one of a variety of different mediums and subjects. Projects balance development of academic rendering skill with fun crafting. In addition to sketching practice, we use mediums such as pastels, acrylic paint, watercolor, pencil drawing, oil pastels, clay, collage, scratch board, and found object constructions. We try not to repeat projects often, so there will be plenty of new instruction even if you take several six week sessions in a row.
Emily Hoang
Emily Hoang is an art teacher with 6 years of teaching experience. She graduated from East Carolina University in 2018 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education with a concentration in Painting and Drawing. She is currently the art teacher at Hueytown Primary School. She is very passionate about teaching and her goal is to foster a love of creating in her students while introducing them to many different art forms and techniques.

Student can start anytime and continue for six weeks. One free miss is allowed, so a period can be stretched to seven weeks. (During the summer two free misses are allowed to accommodate vacations.)
